My daughter and I play this game a great deal, and she loves it. In addition to matching, it helped her hone fine tactical skills. I'd recommend to anyone.

Wedding Date

It really should all just boil down to shoes, I think...

But let me step back and explain. You see, my wonderful (handsome!) fiance and I are trying to land on the perfect date for our wedding. We're bouncing off the walls excited, and we want to get married in the Fall.

I love Fall. I love the colors (both in the changing leaves but also Fall fashion), the weather, you name it. I look forward to it every year and get more spring in my step when it arrives. We're planning on getting married on my parent's property, which is skillfully landscaped to provide optimal color year-round, and let me tell you it's gorgeous in the Fall (and other seasons, too).

We've talked about it, envisioned it, dreamed about it. And, to tell you the truth, stayed in solid denial that we'd probably not be able to make it work. So, as we start planning and my mind has filled with visions of autumn colors and themes, I'm having a hard time picturing anything else.

And then I saw the shoes. Ok, it's possible I like shoes a tad much. But I saw the most beautiful deep plum suede peep-toe heels (and a fantastic price). *sigh* And I wonder, can't the shoes dictate the timing? Can't we throw away our values and get married when these wonderful shoes can make an honored appearance?

Ok, no. Two of our top critical items are to make sure our family and our friends can attend. So... Fall just doesn't work that well. And, really, it doesn't matter when (and, alas, what shoes one wears). We're starting a family together and celebrating with the people that matter most. And that feels good.
